Katie asked us this question on Friday. But at the time I hadn't really thought of what it would be like without Katie. This weekend has shown us what B7 is like without her. Katie left us to go to Hurricane for the weekend and it has been the longest, most boring weekend EVER!! Katie is from Manti so she is always close to home and she doesn't usually leave us for more than a couple hours at a time. Katie is the life of our party and the apartment CAN'T function without her. Without Katie, I haven't had anyone to fake sympathy laugh at my jokes. Katie has a contagious laugh, smile and personality. Even if she doesn't think it is funny she just goes with it OR makes a bigger, better and funnier joke out of the situation. Katie is always ready to listen to our stories and our problems. Not only listen, but she is the one who asks about our days or our love life. Then she has some funny comment to make us feel better about ourselves. Katie is also the chef at B7. She is always in the kitchen whipping up a tasty meal or treat to share. Katie is so selfless and is always offering herself to us. She always shares her treats and leaves us pumpkin pie in the fridge. She says we can go party at her house in Manti if we get kicked out of our apartment. While at her house we see the sister side of Katie. Katie is such a sweet sister to all of her brothers. She likes to wrestle with them and show them who is the strongest, coolest sister. While she can still wrestle and have fun, she also has a soft, cuddly side to her and likes to cuddle with her little brother during a movie. She cares so much about her family and we are lucky that her family let us get to know Katie. While most people, including Katie, say that she doesn't have any feelings, I don't believe it. One day while Katie was bored at work I decided to go visit her. (After she begged me to come) Katie works at the Physical Therapy office in Ephraim. Her boss was gone and Katie was put in charge. I could only stay a couple of minutes before I had to go to work myself, but a sweet old lady came in for some physical therapy. I saw the most tender side of Katie as she was helping this sweet lady do her exercises. Who knew that Katie had such a soft and loving heart. She really is so sweet no matter how many times she says she doesn't know what feelings are. Katie is responsible and dependable. You can always trust and count on Katie to do anything. Katie is also the one who has taught B7 the ways of stalking. She knows more life hacks than anyone I know. I guess her time on Pinterest and the internet is well spent. Two of Katie's hobbies are going to Walmart and showering. She does both of those things at least twice a day. She loves to have clean feet before she sleeps so she showers at night, and she has to deal with her curly hair so she also showers in the morning. Katie is so fun and enjoys making others happy. I said I wanted to go to the park so BAM, Katie put on her shoes and in the dark freezing cold hours of the evening she went with me to the park to swing. While at the park we found a quarter so we went and got penny candy from Roy's pizza. While of course, in between the park and Roy's we had to stop for M&M's at Walmart. She needed M&M's for the Bigelow secret recipe to the best treat ever. Popcorn and milk chocolate M&M's. That's it. Our lives are forever changed now that we know this sweet and salty treat. We will always remember Katie especially since our voicemail is filled with minute long messages of random stuff that she needed to tell me such as; Marissa just came home and she has a boy problem.. PLEASE COME HOME!! or.. you were sitting on the couch before I left and I was gone 5 minutes and now you are gone.. WHERE ARE YOU?? or Usually you are home at this time and you aren't home.. so I am getting concerned... ARE YOU WITH A BOY??... It is always entertaining to find out what kind of message Katie has left in my voicemail. Katie has taught us the ways of HIMYM and selfie sticks and we would not be the same without our Katie. Our apartment wouldn't be as clean as it is if it wasn't for Katie always mopping for us and cleaning up our dishes for us. Every time Bailee sneezes she grabs a blanket and wraps up Bailee and says "Aww.. Come here little Baiwee!!" Katie is the snapchat queen and I wouldn't laugh as many times in a day if it wasn't for all of Katie's snapchats. I also wouldn't feel as loved when I am away with the reassuring song of... Kelsey come home.. Kelsey come home....We are all of jealous of Katie because she hasn't tripped on the stairs like the rest of us. But good thing we have Katie to laugh at us when we do trip. Katie is such a great addition to B7 and we are so happy she is our roommate!!:)
Luckily Katie just got back to finish our Sunday afternoon with us and in the 15 minutes that she has been back there has been nothing but laughter in our apartment. We are so so happy she is back!! She asked us all about our weekend and how all of our boys are doing! (or course) She has sang multiple different songs to us and made tons of sarcastic comments. She has wrapped up little Baiwee in her blanket for all the sneezes that she missed while she was away. She also brought home a laminator? and some Peanut Butter M&M's. Marissa actually made the comment "I'm glad we keep you around." Perfect timing to come home so that I could finish up this blog post. We love you Katie and you are the best addition to the apartment B7.
